Chalet Etoile

Le Grand Bornand is regular stop on The Tour de France, with its grueling ascent and descent from the Col de Colombiere at a mere 1618 meters above sea level.  This route is considered to be one of the hardest stages in the Tour, it is a breathtaking site to see the speed of both the ascent and descent, and there is a genuine carnival atmosphere in the town.  The route to the finish line in Le Grand Bornand village goes straight past Chalet Etoile, so it is an ideal place to catch some of the action.
